HELLO WORLD I HAVE COME TO ANNOUNCE NEWS OF JOY.

I AM OFFICIALLY DONE WITH NAPFA FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!!!

and i got a silver!!!!

:D :D :D

the one frustrating station that has always been my downfall for napfa, no matter how well i do for the rest. but THIS YEAR I DID IT. omg it was like a dream. totally unreal. all the trainings, all the sweat, the highs and lows, the muscle cream sessions, the let's-stay-back-after-school-to-train sessions, the encouragements we gave one another, even trying things from different 'perspectives' like jumping from the 170 mark towards the starting line (which i did today and passed in one attempt!), the prayers, etc. everything!

i know this is like really trivial to many ppl. napfa is like nothing to them. i'm ok with it generally but my history with the jump hasnt been very positive and i guess those who pass it easily every year will never understand what this feels like.

standing broad jump: you are conquered, once and for all.

this is the power of faith! :)

to jehanne, jiafang, na'imah, fera: YEAH WE DID IT. :D :D

anyway, full-dress rehearsal yesterday. skipped school in the morning with jiafang, then went to school at noon. abit of practice, then pep talk by ms tan, after which was a mad rush to get everything else done within an hour: change, eat, make-up, move instruments, and off we go to SCH.

sometimes i really wonder. what exactly is going wrong? i put my heart and soul into the music, but does everyone do the same? we're a team, and we're gonna have to do this as one. as leaders, yuquan wanxuan and wenying are really quite anxious and the same can be said for miss lim and miss tan. but why izzit that it just seems that we're not putting in our best? yin1 zhun3, yin1 se4, dong4 zuo4, da4 xiao3 sheng1, everything everything. will it all be perfect on that day?

music is really about touching the heartstrings of others. but before you can touch others with your music, you gotta be moved by it yourself first.
